Out of my element - Toon Tank! COMPLETE

I've done a bit of armor in the past but those darn road wheels.... and the tracks. I sure do appreciate the builds though. So with the recent Hobby Lobby 40% deal I picked up a toon tank. Pretty fun. The plastic is strange, doesn't sand well. So I decided to just build it and experiment with some paint techniques. Here we are so far. I primed with Tamia red oxide primer. Next was ModelMaster OD. After that I shot ModelMaster faded Olive Drab. Nicked it up with a MIG aluminum pencil. More work to do - Flory wash coming and a couple filters. Really fun. The way I look at it I cant do anything wrong ...lol.

Needs more mud and rust as Lyle already pointed out. :giggles:
They are cute. I do recall seeing ... believe it or not... resin aftermarket stuff for these Toon tanks. Just can't remember where. I'll definitely post the link when I find it. Kinda takes it for more accuracy on these Toon tanks. :giggles:

When I first found it, I thought whaaaa? Are you kidding? LOL! Seriously, it was cool.

Thanks all. I love Testors clear flat - it's dead flat, but this is the second or third time I've got the white specs. Maybe it's too old - I shook the heck out of the bottle before hand.

Try also soaking the can in hot/almost boiling water for about two to five minutes. That helps it to expand so its more atomized when it's sprayed. I usually never have any issues after that.
