Here is my recently completed build of the 1/32 Hasegawa N1K2-J Shiden Kai. I depicted the 343rd Kokutai aircraft of Lt. Takashi Oshibushi.

To enhance the base kit, I added some bits from the Brengun phototech set for the N1K2-J and brass cannon barrels from RB Models. The exterior paints were AK Real Colors on the top and various Alclad metal lacquers on the bottom.

Superb work John! Once again you have turned out a masterpiece.

On a related note, perhaps it is a good thing that you do not partake in the local model clubs and contests.... you would clean house with each and every one of your builds... :whiteflag:

Wow, words fail me! I can't think of anything that would express my sheer astonishment at how incredibly realistic plane looks!

I agree with what Carlos said: nobody would stand a chance against you at a contest!

Thank you Stuart! I appreciate you following along! Usually I'll have certain ideas or results predetermined in my mind and I've never had a built that hit all of those and this one is no exception. Some successes and some failures... but always enjoyable and always happy to see it finished. Sometimes the model itself will start dictating its own outcome... kinda develops its own personality, as it were.

Thank you Carlos! I appreciate the nice words. Who knows about success at model contests... gotta be in one to find out and I really don't have plans to do that. But it would be interesting to chat with fellow modelers so maybe some day.

Thanks Clint! I really enjoy posting my builds online. I find that I like the process of building and once that's done, it's on to the next one!

Thank you Duke! Modeling is a hobby that I enjoy and it allows me to apply very personal thoughts and interpretations on my subjects. I understand that not everyone agrees with these choices but that's what makes it worthwhile.

Thanks Johnny! I enjoyed sharing this build with everyone here at SPAM and I hope that I'm able to explain what I'm doing in a clear and understandable way.
