Been a few months since anything new left my workbench so I thought I'd share my latest effort.

Just finished up the new(ish) Revell 109G-10 (Erla). Pretty impressed with the kit overall. The new fuselage design has done away with the fiddly cheek panels so fit is much, much better. Just used a spot of filler at the base of that tail and to blend in the upper cowl section, other than that everything went to together perfect. I decided to deviate from the instructions and build up the wings sections completely before mating them to the fuselage, wing root came out perfect and this makes riveting much easier. I'd recommend shelling out the extra bucks for the Eduard Brassin landing gear, they're a huge upgrade over the rickety three-part monstrosity from the kit. My only big gripe is Revell elected to only include the large style wing bulges which really cuts down the amount of schemes you can do OOB. I know Roy now makes an A/M replacement for the smaller bulges but it would have been nice to see these parts in the kit.

Decals are BarracudaCals and paint is Mr. Color with the exception of my old standby for the NMF on the lower wings, Floquil Old Silver.

have to admit, the first few pics - I was looking for the model. thought you posted a reference picture. That is one of the most realistic finishes I've seen.

How on earth did you do the paint separation line on the fuselage sides, between the lower blue tone and the upper camo colours? A mask? Perfect airbrush job?
Any chance to have a WIP here?

The painting is marvelous. And you have a good eye for taking pictures.

I'm digging this...that wear on the end of the prop is a bit distracting and something I've never seen in ref pics, however...

@Thomas, thank you sir! The demarcation line was just getting the right combo of paint consistency and air pressure. My Grex airbrush does a great job and you know I get lots of practice at mottling!

They'll be some WIP shots when Matt and I finish up our review on this kit, a little late but we're hoping to get it out within the next couple of weeks

@Manny, I spend a LOT of time looking at 109 photos, the wear is pretty consistent with patterns that I've observed in photos. Of course many LW aircraft had such short life spans that there was never time for the paint to wear off but when it did it usually looked similar to what I've portrayed here.
