Well here we go, I've finally managed to complete the Airfix P-51D, not my favourite build by any stretch, and certainly my last new tool Airfix kit, but I'm pleased with how it turned out.

As ever, brush painted with Hataka Acrylics.

That is some mighty fine work! If it was a bottle of wine, it would cost 6 or 8 bucks! Not the cheap stuff. No sir! Well done!

Bravo Stuart! You wrestled and tamed this Mustang. The end results look very nice!!! And, as already mentioned, a brush painted finish to top it off. That deserves extra credit points.

Thanks Gents, your kind comments are very much appreciated! I was pretty pleased with how it came out, the paints far from perfect (the camera hides a far bit) but it has at least given me some ideas for my next 1/48 build.

Kari - I found the background on ebay - it's actually a Coastal kits 1/72 Soviet Hanger, but they make others.

I'm glad you decided to remove this one from the bin and finish her. Fantastic job I couldn't imagine painting a entire aircraft with a brush.
