Stuart's Flying Dog
Re: Stuart's Flying Dog
Started cutting plastic on this - I've done a bit of assembly of the cockpit - time to start painting!

Re: Stuart's Flying Dog
I've pretty much finished the cockpit - what there is of it. I was going to add some SB bits but as the clears parts are so thick - even after a coat of future - I just painted it up OOB. I tried to give the pilot a SF 'Tiger striped' camo jacket - it actually looks a lot better in the flesh than it does in the photo.
It's not much, but I had a lot of fun doing it - I'm really glad I'm finally building this kit, it's one off the bucket list!
Cheers!

Re: Stuart's Flying Dog
Good start, Stuart.

What John said! Don’t sweat it, just have some childhood memory fun.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks Gents!
The blooming IP decal keeps falling off - I've now welded it in place with Tamiya decal adhesive, so hopefully I can finally get the fuselage buttoned up.

Re: Stuart's Flying Dog
I just built an old Heller kit that had same issue. Must've something with the adhesive on those decals
Re: Stuart's Flying Dog
I think so - the decals must have been made in at least the 1970's!

Made a bit more progress on this one over the last few days....
Next I'll get the last of the clear parts and structs/legs on.
Cheers!

Looking good!
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Starting to look like the Bird Dog now!
