An armor kit I never posted in WIP thread since it was about 75% assembled. I won this kit in a raffle at Syrcon model show about 4 - 5 years ago. The only thing missing are the decals. I've submitted a replacement set thru DragonCare and had no responses from them. If anyone has spare decals for Polish Army markings, I would appreciate them.


It is primed grey then pale green followed by Dark Green and finally a very thinned Dark Green B-52 Green. Weathering track links using AK interactive paneliner, overall weathering using homebrewed concoction of black and grey chalk with water and a few drops of liquid dish soap. I spent about 7 days working on the track links alone. It's a wonder I haven't started drinking or put a hammer to it and smash it all to hell. God, how I hated working with Dragon tracks...

Don’t worry, those indy link tracks get easier to work with as you gain more experience with them and figure out a groove for yourself. Your Shilka looks good. I’ll have a look in my decal spares and see if I have the spares from mine still. But, be advised, I built it 20 years ago, so I can’t guarantee their condition.

Looks really good! I hear you on them magic tracks, I usually ditch them and order some R model tracks or friulmodel.

Thanks, Mark. I'm still trying to find Polish Army decal markings for this kit. Not having any luck. I'll display it with no decals for now.

Okay, maybe I should clarify:

Nobody has done a IM plastic kit of this. The Toxso one was cancelled because the company went belly up. The Armo ones are all resin and were panned by many for poor fit, bad warpage and a number of other issues. Thank you for that link though

Blacksheep, do you have any decals with the Polish Eagle and some Soviet style numbers? Those should work for this vehicle.
