I drink tea, but I do like the smell of fresh ground beans. My parents were fiends for fresh coffee every morning, but not I.

Re: Coffee drinkers out there?
I start my day with coffee. We have a Kuerig machine which makes a single, hot fresh cup of coffee with a push of a button. Pretty cool. There's lot's of k-cup brands available as well, but have settled on Donut Shop regular. I'll have one or two cups in the morning but long ago I made a rule of no caffeine after 5:00pm. Back when I was working on my startup I'd get the kids to bed and go into our tiny office writing code from 9:00PM-1:00AM and me and my buddy would drink two pots of coffee. Started cracking teeth due to grinding at night - sure was fun though.
I'll make the exception for espresso. We have Nespresso machine - like the Kuerig for espresso. Does a really good job - not quite like at the local Italian restaurant but pretty close.

Diet Pepsi or Diet Dew to start my day.

Making some now in the Hamilton Beach BrewStation...was a devout Death Wish fan partly because it was a local business started right near the church we got married in...but then ownership changed hands and it tastes like burnt coffee beans. Recently switched to about local brand started by a firefighter...Engine 3....we get the Nozzleman dark roast.

Re: Coffee drinkers out there?
My first taste of coffee is when I was about 7 or 8 when my grandfather got me a taste. Oh my! So then the weekly ritual I would sit down and have “coffee and bread” with him (coffee in a small soup bowl with bread dunked in. It was heaven I tell ya!) My grandmother made Folgers, my parents made Maxwell House. Today, they’re both don’t taste the same as years ago.
I used to buy a cup every morning before going to work everyday. Starting with at a local bakery called Hemstrought’s Bakery (Famous for the original half moon cookies) and when they closed down, I went to Holland Farms where they made THE BEST coffee in town..period! Dunkin Donuts? Yuck! Horrible coffee yet I couldn’t understand how they think that’s good coffee.
Soon buying coffee everyday on the way to work became expensive so I started brewing my own. I liked Starbucks Sumatra flavor because my sister told me it tasted exactly like my grandmother made it. Soon, I got tired of it and tried Aerosmith’s Sumatra coffee. That was gooooood coffee. Can’t find it anymore and it sucked. So now I buy and brew Peet’s coffee (from Seattle, WA); again, Sumatra. Fantastic tasting coffee.
Nowadays, I drink coffee only on the weekends and occasionally I’ll cheat a pot during the week if I’m grumpy enough. LOL!
Remember this, I drink coffee for your protection. Otherwise, no coffee, I can be a grumpy bastard at work. Those days is when bodies starts piling up by lunchtime. LOLOL! And for God’s sake decaf coffee taste like garbage. No decaf coffee for me, EVER!
I do enjoy a cup of tea as well. My choice of tea is Twining’s of London Decaf English Tea.
