White or Grey primer would be more ideal for yellow. What if you mask the wings and shoot white or Grey primer before hitting the yellow. Just a thought....

That’s looking real good so far Kari. I’m sure you’ll get the yellow on the upper wings just fine. And I can’t wait to see that Curtiss Seagull! Somebody really needs to make a kit of one in 1/48.

Thanks Carlos, yes, two layers did the trick!

I forgot to take a pic of the yellow wings, I have masked / protected them already before next paintround.

Ok, main paintwork is done and I can focus on the decals.

Unfortunately, my canopy masking was not all over 100% "paint tight", but was able to remove at least the most visible spots with some thinner.
