Hey guys! You've probably noticed that none of my in-progress builds have been moving forward. This is mostly due to being busy with other things around the house including having to buy a new car after my SUV died. But I'm also not particularly enthused to continue on the F-14A and Hawker Tempest builds at this moment. They are at stages which require a certain amount of thinking/planning/scratchbuilding that I'm just not motivated to do. I'll get back to them eventually but in the meantime, I want to start a new project to help build the mojo.
So I ordered up this kit...

It's a new subject that falls within my Late Luftwaffe comfort zone so I'm hoping that equals some excitement and enthusiasm. The airframe is small and simple.
From what I've read, there are some possible fit issues with the major component joints: wings:fuselage, upper fuselage panels, forward fuselage:rear fuselage. I know that an ill-fitting kit can kill the joy so there is a risk that this new project will backfire on me but at this stage, I'm not minding the prospect of doing that type of work, at least right now.
The aftermarket list will be pretty short for this one. I'm adding the Aires resin cockpit and DEF Model resin wheels to replace the rubber ones included in the kit. I'm planning on making masks for the major markings using the Silhouette Portrait cutter and the kit decals for the remainder of the smaller markings and stencils.
This is my proposed subject...

The kit and the aftermarket items are en-route so I'll report on them when they arrive. I also ordered a used copy of Aero Details 10 from EBay as a reference...
