Back in 2018 I bought Arma Hobby's new Hurricane Mk.I and their extra sprues so I can make two

Here are the instruction and sprue shots. I'm in the process of painting the interior and wheel wells so nothing built yet. It looks like a nice easy build.
I'm planning to do RF R from the Polish 303 Squadron. I have an affinity for the Poles. My Granduncle was Polish and fought in WWII

I have heard good things abut Arma kits as well. I get their newsletters in my email often. Now if they only can produce 1/48 scale kits. :bored: :lashed:

Very cool. I've never seen a build of one of their kits.

Curious how this will go together. Especially when you do your magic on it.

Thanks guys. The instructions have you install the landing gear before starting on the cockpit and the way the gear is installed, there's no way around it. That will make it a little more difficult to paint and keep from breaking them but it looks far better than just sticking them on.

on to the cockpit. Arma Hobby really put a lot of time into this area. If using the PE set, the IP is a six piece assembly. I didn't use the PE set for this build (I will for the next) so it was the plastic IP and two decals. The rest of the cockpit is very meticulous and has several pieces. The seat and framework is installed to one half of the fuse. I found care must be taken to dry fit the other half on every step. The cockpit flor is installed on the wings.

After some more weathering, I'll assemble the fuse half's and attach the fuse to the wings. The kit goes fast after that.

Looks very good, the kit seems to be a jewel compared to many other brands who make the Hurricane in 1/72 :hmm:

That’s a real beauty so far! Splendid detail for 1/48 and superb in 1/72.

Thanks Stick.
Yeah it's packed in there and I love the way Arma Hobby fits the parts. I did have to "adjust" a few things to make the wing fit because it fits very snuggly. A little sanding here, scraping there and with a little tape and clamping it looks good.

I've since attached the tail planes and made up the radiator scoop. I need to do a little filling here and there and it should be ready for black basing.
