That is some beautiful scenery! I would love to see AZ one day but I don't think I could take the heat living there, 80 is the daily summer high and not the early morning cool here.

Lol! Yeah it does take some getting used to. And you do get used to it. But I will say that AZ has quite a bit of climate variety. The Phoenix area is the northern boundary of the Sonora desert, and then it transits into more mountainous and forested climate. Those areas have four distinct seasons, with snow in winter and more temperate summers. Still hot, but not desert hot. Then again, you can also go southeast towards Tucson and eventually Tombstone. More greenery down that way. Or southwest towards Yuma and some serious hardcore desert… think Dune’s Arakis.

Joe, I know that sort of stuff from times of work and play elsewhere… humidity is the bear. The dryer it is, the more tolerable. Spring and fall here are 80’s days, bone dry, and just gorgeous!

The deserts are as lovely as they are dangerous - quite the dichotomy

Well now that I've been living in the land of gators and hurricanes for just under 3 years. I love the heat of course my mail truck is not a/c so I have to deal with it. Now that I'm getting more and more acclimated I'm cold in the house and it's set at 77. Here in Naples there always seems to be a breeze so even when it's humid it's tolerable

I lived in Casa Grande for 6 months or so when I was 5 or 6. I remember rattlesnakes and scorpions. We were there drilling water wells, mostly work was done at night. That would have been about 1951.
