2021 Boise IPMS - Mad Dog Modelers Fall Show

Post by jelliott523 »

Last weekend, the Boise Mad Dog Modelers held the Boise IPMS show. There was a good turnout of modelers from around the Pacific Northwest. I was able to submit 3 kits to the show, two in 1/48 Large Jet and one in 1/48 Small Prop categories.
I ended up taking a 1st Place award for my Tamiya F-14D

And 2nd Place for my Hasegawa E/A-18G Growler

My A-1H Skyraider didn't place, but I'm okay with that, there were several other builds in the category that were much better than mine and I even caught some of my mistakes once I saw the kit in different lighting. I'm still not ashamed of how it turned out. I was glad I was able to contribute to this years show.
This picture of the A-1H was taken just prior to finishing the kit up for the show.

Outstanding work! Well deserved.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks all, it feels good to finally have something to show after being absent for so long. Looking forward to keeping up with things again.

Congratulations and well done on your awards! They are all well deserved. You always do such incredible work!

I have to ask though: you did take the masking off the canopy of the Skyraider right?
