Bruce. I can definitely see the error in Printscales P.

Not tall enough in the upper portion. Can see the top is not as high as in the profile. Should be almost up to the skeleton's elbow

You are absolutely right. Spot on critique. I am disappointed in what Print Scale did with their decals. I hate throwing money away on decals that are not at least close. That “P” is way off; that lovely nose art is rendered so crudely it is barely representational.

Can't wait to see the build! I need to get a P-39.

Mike! Have you ever had a week where each night you come home exhausted (I know you know and everyone else knows how this feels). If I was still drinking, I would come home and crack open a cold bevvy and vegetate to whatever trash presents itself on TV. (Hello Cowboys and Aliens) then wonder where the time went.

Side note, Bell Aircraft used their own version of Interior Green in cockpits that is equivalent to today’s NATO Green of AFVs. Lots of paint companies make the shade.

This is like being inside a time traveling DeLorean! I turned the TV on tonight and “The Italian Job” from 1969 was in my queue of films. Thanks so much for following, Carlos!

I searched for the P-39 on FB and lo, I found a link left by Thomas Mayer to a Fermis/Jeremy build in 2014 (this was just a year before my arrival here).



His work with the nose art also caught my attention.
