Or, The Shelf of Doom. Since most of us intend to finish these someday....well, you know.

When your wife is part of a big art show/fest and helps run it, you bring your own entertainment.

So one of the marking choices that I wanted to do was the CAG jet of VFA-151 Vigilantes. Unfortunately it calls for Chrome Yellow. Model Master had that color but since they're discontinued, I couldn't get it. Vallejo Model Air has one but I don't like them for airbrush work. I checked and I had a bottle of AK Real Air Color Yellow. I checked and it looks close enough.

That looks pretty darn close. I think I used MRP chrome yellow for the Mentor and H19

Testors Gloss Yellow in the 1/4 ounce square bottle is a good match for Chrome Yellow if you want to stick with enamels. Their Flat Yellow in the same product line is a match for Insignia Yellow.

Yeah I saw that but I use lacquers.

I hear ya. Lacquers airbrush great, but don’t hand brush as nicely as enamels.

So I gloss coated the shuttle today. I used a new (to me anyway) gloss, Mr Color GX100 Super Clear and holy crap it's awesome!! I thinned it with Mr Leveling Thinner 1:1 and went down perfectly! This will now be my go to gloss!
