MV Colombo Express 1/700 Revell Germany

This won't be in progress for a bit. Been fighting with the seat/interior tub on the '57. I fully blame Tim Nelson at Model Paint Solutions for this trip into insanity. His model and build log did it. Plain and simple. I don't see this being that good...but I hope to do it justice.

Here she is:
There are 226 parts. Detail looks pretty good, What I've looked over doesn't have a lot of flash.
Hull is two piece and she is 47.9 cm or 18.85 in in length:
All the container "blocks" must be assembled and there are several....each row across the beam of the vessel is a separate block. And they go in a specific spot.
Part of the deck:
Pieces of the accomodation block
fore deck (forecastle?)
And, a spiffy base
Now, for the inssanity part....seriousliy. Okay, I know 1/700 is small scale unless you are a 1000' feet long, but....goodness. And there are 60 crew on this printer block. I think these are 3-D printed. Not sre what I was thinking.(See Modelcrazy for help) As Tim Nelson said, a few set around does add some better sense of scale. We'll see.
Then, there had to be railings....huh?
You should read his build log. I am still re-reading again and again to grasp fully what he did on the containers. I want to try to duplicate that. The decals are included and they are all for Hapag-Lloyd containers. All of them. With the Silhouette cutter, making the masks should not be extremely difficult, but tedious...and mind-numbing. Sort of like a Rubic's Cube.
Instructions are typical of the RoG stuff these days.
