Elvis Tank, 1/35 M48A1, “GI Blues”

Post by Stikpusher »

Well it’s one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, now go cat go!
I’m calling this beast finished. Dragon’s 1/35 M48A1, (Magach boxing) done up as Elvis’s ride in “GI Blues”. Markings are cobbled together from what I have in my decal bin. The TC figure was originally from the Academy KIFV, modified slightly.

And I made up a simple base for it as well…

Thanks for looking, comments and critiques welcome…
Thank you very much… ;)

Carlos, I love the way the OD turned out and the light weathering.
March as one, Don't look back
Odin's sons... Attack!
Unleash hell! Do not repent! Warfare grants us no lament
Let your weapons slash and tear This is no place for fear
Hold the lines! Move as one! In unity our victory's won
Our shields will form a mighty wall
United we shall never fall

Well done, Carlos. Did anybody else see G I Blues when it was in the theatres?

That is a good looking tank! Well done.

Clint, John, John, Lyle, & Gary, thank you all for your kind feedback.

Clint, I used Gunze Aqueous Olive Drab (2) - they have three different ODs in their line, one for WWII aircraft, one for ground vehicles, and one that is the modern FS shade. Nice to have choices

John, the movie came out a few years before I did, so I missed it in the theaters. But I’ll bet that my folks saw it.

Thanks Mike. I’m happy with how it turned out. Now if I could only improve my figure face painting… :headslap:

First of all, that is actually quite mean looking tank, have never really paid attention to the M48A1 before!

Then, excellent work with the tank Carlos! Wonderful paintwork, like the nuances in the color, very realistic !
And then, holy ghost and his son!

Your figure painting skills are absolute perfect, looks really good!
