Ok, I really need to comment on this girl…. She’s f***ing gorgeous. Sorry, but that’s my true feeling on this one. Can’t get enough of this and all your other builds. I bow to the master.

Verrrrry nicely done on this D-9 John. Painting, weathering, detailing..................what's not to like on this one??!!
What was your trick on getting the slack in the aerial to look the way it does?

The times where I had the superlatives left to describe your work are long gone. There's also no emoji that can express the joy and admiration I feel while looking at the outcome of your efforts.
So I'm just leaving a 'Well done, John!' right here.

Re: Hasegawa 1/32 Fw190D-9 Late Brown 4
Thank you Carlos! I have a hard time calling a build finished. There is always something else to tweak or add. But I also have a difficult working on something new if an almost-completed project isn't pushed over the finish line. So I'm glad to have finished Brown 4 and ready to move on!
Thanks Clint I really like the late war Luftwaffe schemes as well. Lots of different shades and interesting combinations of colors But no colorful nose art. That's why I'm excited to do the P-47D.
Thank you! I normally use Ushci elastic thread for aerials but since it lacks any inherent stiffness, it's difficult to use in a slack condition. I wanted something with a little bit of stiffness, so I used stretched sprue for the main line between the tail and canopy. The vertical element in between was fashioned from thin wire. Both were painted brown so that they would match.mustang1989 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 6:07 am Verrrrry nicely done on this D-9 John.
