Seeing Tony’s post on the hobby shop he went to and seeing a couple I haven’t seen in years, it brings back fond memories.
As the thread title says, what model kits you’d like to do again? Let’s see your top 10 or 15 kits you’d love to do again from your younger years. Be it auto, aircraft, armor, ships, sci-fi and everything in between
I’ll lead off with my choices...

This is a brilliant thread! I haven't got a list right now; given that I've built so many already. I will say that I started the Budweiser beer wagon, just did the Clydesdale horses now. Just need to paint them and then I can start on the wagon itself.
Once I come up with ones I want to redo from my youth; I'll let you know.

Re: What kit would you love to see again?
I’ve got a story - a sad one actually, I loved this kit and spent weeks building it. Painting the Clydesdale horses, the harnesses and bits, etc...
Anyhow. I was proud of it. I had it on a shelf in the dining room - actually it was one of those open floor plan (DR and LR) typical found in bungalow homes. Two weeks go by, my mom broke the bad news to me when I got home from school. Yup.... broke in pieces from her dropping it to the hardwood floors as she was taking it off the shelf so she can dust the shelf.
It was an upsetting day for me and needless to say, I was pissed. I mean really pissed. Didn’t speak to mom for a week.
The wagon, the base, the harnesses, the pins on the bottom of the hooves on the Clydesdales were snapped off. It was beyond repair. I was a wreck and cried for having done all that hard work and seeing it dashed in a matter of seconds when I came home from school.
Oh yeah, the missus called me on my cell yesterday and told me she dropped one of my airplane kit while dusting. I asked which one. “The grey one with the red on it” Yup.... the Star Wars X-Wing fighter I painted as a commemorative Red Tails scheme. Ended up tossing it out since all the delicate bits were broken off. She did feel bad about it.
What is it with women and dusting under model kits?

I want the old Nascar and monster truck kits to come back. I don't recall which ones I built, but I distinctly recall the yellow Kodak car and maybe a Bigfoot monster truck?
I know someone recently released a fully licensed NASCAR kit, but I want the classics.

Gravedigger, Bigfoot, Blue Thunder, El Toro, etc...
I was never a fan of NASCAR or monster truck kits. On a side note for fun....

Re: What kit would you love to see again?
My wife has known for years, she does not dust the areas wherever my models are displayed, that’s my job. Been married just over 34 years now and that rule is doing well. Except for perhaps while I was mobilized and overseas and a couple of my old builds disappeared in that timespan.
Speaking of which, that makes a couple of kits I’d like to find, the old MPC Imperial Star Destroyer and AT AT. I’d also like to get a kit or two of the old Revell Queen Mary ocean liner.

My wife would never touch one of my models. They all reside in the display cabinets and they're both in my study, an area she seldom inspects. The cabinets do help a lot in keeping the dust off but it is surprising how much does creep in between the sliding glass doors. Whenever I can see an accumulation of dust on the glass shelves, I gingerly remove one section of models at a time, shelf by shelf, and clean the glass and dust off the models' upper surfaces a bit. Inevitably, I lose a pitot, or antenna along the way and progress pauses while I fix the damage. It's just about time for another round of cleaning.
I would like to have another kit of my first model airplane. It was the old (of course! ) Aurora Zero, molded in bright yellow plastic. My Dad and I put it together when I was 6, I believe. No paint at all, just glued up with some Duco cement, it was sitting on a chair when my grandmother sat right down on it. Splash one Zero!

Since I have my own room, the wife does not mess with things in here.

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..
