Man, that DID turn out well Tom!! Especially given the fact that of what you had to work with. These old Monogram kits can be made into good builds as you have shown here. Just takes a little TLC.

Nice Tom! Never seen that camo/markings before - she looks a lol more menacing in black.
Thanks,
John

Not black. Dark Sea Blue.

My lighting wasn't the best last night. :bag:

That came out looking good! Very unusual paint scheme and markings for a Brit Kingfisher.

Thank you for the kind words. Now if only Eduard or somebody besides Monogram/Revell would come out with a newer tool Kingfisher kit.

Do you build 1/72 Tom?

If you do - AZ models came out with a new range of Kingfishers in 2019

It is a short run (ish) model company though so I've no idea how they would build up.

Hell, even a new tool or retool of this kit would be welcome. Just like Pro Modeler retooled the old P-51B kit into something quite a bit better, that approach would work here too. But yes, Eduard, Revell, Airfix, ICM, Tamiya, Hasegawa, or most anyone else could step up and have a go at the good old OS2U Kingfisher in 1/48.
