Well considering they went under, it's not surprising that it cost a lot.

MBK bought the last container full of kits out of the bankrupt's assets and is starting to sell them in January over here in Germany. They said they're going to sell them to the former retail prices.

Nice! What scale? 1/48? 1/32?
I’d love to get my hands on a WingNuts kit but as someone already mentioned- they were stupid expensive then.

Tom, so far a I know WNW never issued any kit in a scale other than 1/32. The only one I have built is the DH-9a. They intimidate me because like the newer Tamiya kits they are so perfect that in the process of building them one can only go downhill after opening the box.

Well, the result of your "downhill" experience looks pretty good to me. I'm sure you're going to do that Sopwith justice.

I’d rather do any WW1 era aircraft kits in 1/32 scale over one in 1/48 scale. 1/48 scale biplanes make it look like they’re 1/72 scale - tiny. Even 1/72 scale biplanes are even tinier - just enough to make me go blind building one in Braille scale. :giggles:
