F/A-18F Trumpeter 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation

Post by TheMongoose »

Finished her up today! I'm really excited to present this one :yahoo: Way more work than I thought it would be so I'm stoked I didn't goof anything up and it came together looking sweet. I built her primarily out of the box. I added some wiring in each of the gear bays, made my own FOD covers, custom printed decals, the frame to hold the nose, and ended up making some wing fold hinge covers because the kit ones were just too out of scale to be prominently displayed. I drew my own masks in Silhouette Designer based on Syhart decals and a huge walk-around that I found online.

Let's start with my favorite pic...

I wasn't quite exactly in the middle for this pic. The canopy look skewed here but it isn't. I'm just happy Captain Dexterity here didn't drop the camera on it lol

And the big finish, I love this graphic!

I dig the funky digital scheme but you are a brave man to pull it off. Well done! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

This is awesome. But there should have been a disclaimer on the decals about causing an epileptic seizure :wow:
