Finally, after far too long, I was able to get some aircraft finished!

Here they are in no particular order. First off is Monogram's 1/72 scale F-8 Bearcat for the Monogram Mafia Group Build on another Forum:

This was finished with Tamiya Navy Blue in a spray can and finished with the kit decals.

Another Monogram Mafia build; this one is the Monogram 1/72 scale F4-B4 biplane built OOB and finished with Model Master paints:

And finally, my first ever Eduard kit: The L-39 done up in Iraqi AF markings:

It was an interesting build to say the least, I'm still trying to determine whether it was a fun experience or not. I am very pleased with the final model though.

That's all I have for now. I also completed a few armor models; feel free to check them out on the Armor Forums. Meanwhile, comments are welcome here, thanks for looking in.

Good stuff there Duke!

Tell me a bit more about the L-39...as far as the build goes.

I got a pair in the stash...one for me...and another for the owner of an L-39 (based at the airport I work at..in winter), that I hope to trade for a ride!!!

Thanks guys for the great replies! I apologize for not seeing these sooner.

BsY, I also love the F-4B4. It is only about this long: I___________________________I

Fermis, I'm sorry for taking so long to answer your question on the L-39. The only real issues I had with this model was the gap along the wing roots. It was tough to get to due to the overhang of the engine inlets. I added in some Mr. Surfacer 500 in several thick coats and then used Mr. Thinner on a brush to smooth it out and make it blend with the fuselage. Aside from that, don't forget to drill out the holes below the wing if you intend to add underwing stores. I almost messed that up. I also can't recall whether I added weight to the nose; I think I did, but it's possible that this model doesn't need that. The cockpit canopy fit quite well, but it took some time and delicate maneuvering to get it in place and looking correct before the glue dried.

Good luck on your L-39's, I'm looking forward to seeing them done.
