Small Things, Big Motivation

Post by cbaltrin »

My sanding supplies have been dwindling lately, mostly because I have been to cheap to buy new sanding sticks and the like (been using the same flex-i-file strip for over a year...)

This results is me trying to shoe-horn 'the wrong tool for the job' into my sanding process, which leads to unsatisfactory results and and dissipation in motivation.

So I bit the bullet last week and ordered a few things. This OPI nail buffer is big, has just the right amount of flex/cushion for my taste, and really helped me finish up the seam work on my Monogram B-17G wings (next objective: my Tamiya Skyraider wings). And it's nice to know I now some some new flex-i-file refills for smaller projects.

Just having these two new / replaced items in my tool box has made building much more enjoyable and motivated me to get back to the bench and get stuff done...

I love the Flex-I-File bands. I use them all the time!

Looks like a good buy - It's always nicer to have the right tools.

Flexi-files are great. I do need new sanding sticks though...
Thanks,
John
