KP MiG-17PF 1/72

Post by LyleW »

Hesitant to post this, simply because it isn't much to look at. The canopy fought until the bitter end.

The decals were shot, so what is on it were a small sheet I ordered from a chap in Czechoslovakia. With postage, it was only 5-6 bucks.

Here it is in all of its 1/72 glory.

Thank you , John. The NMF is Tamiya AS-12 Bare Metal Silver.

Nice work Lyle! Looking at the basic kit there is like looking at a modeling time machine to see kits used to be molded... :hmm:

Wow, talk about a trip down Memory Lane! I remember building that same kit back when they were the only MiG-17's on the market!
There may not be much in them, but you sure did a spectacular job on that finish! Way to go Lyle!

Mark, I’m sure yours looks much better! The finish is the one part I am quite happy with.
