The exhaust stains look great to me. 👍🏼

Thanks Gent's . I used Tamiya weathering pastels. My only concern is how it will look after I put a flat coat on top. I used these once before over NMF on my italeri F-100 and did not like the result after a few light mists of metalizer sealer... Not exactly an apples to apples comparison, so I am optimistic regarding the Skyraider. I'll probably test first on a paint mule though just to be safe....

I usually don't put a coat of clearcoat on top of any weathering pastels. But feel free to test on a mule kit.

Those Tamiya weathering pastels are pretty stable on their own. I’ve never used a top coat on, and instead always apply them last over any top coats.

All ahead dead-slow...

The following is a Skyraider Update (Imagine morse code sounds in background...)

Sarge was not happy and wanted an armament upgrade. So I am replacing the guns and the kit gunsight with a Quickboost Mk8 WW2 sight...

Working out some new fuses for the Mk82's using a cut up soda can and styrene rod...

Outstanding work! Someday, when i grow up.....

You diving deep into this one! Beautiful work on the driver. :shoutout: Are you making your own barrels from telescoping brass tubing, or did you buy those pre made? Very interesting about the pencil rub onto graph paper for the canopy mask… :hmm:

I have some photos of an A-4 Skyhawk gunsight for reference if you’re interested…
