Forgive me for all the pictures -- I like photography as much as modeling...

Some filling is still needed around the upper cowl..
Image

The bottom of the cowl did not line up when the top was lined up correctly plus it was a bit short shot on one side so I have to cover up with some styrene and do a bit of filling and sanding..
Image

The air intake needs quite a bit of work as well -- I am thinking Apoxie Sculpt and lots of wiping with a wet cotton swab ...
Image

The vert stab needed some work. The nav light on top was split in two , one half on each fuselage half, and of course, the two halves did not lign up, so lots of work with a file and sanding sticks made it look respectable I think.. I removed the actual light and just left the post so I will add the light later... The trim tab was molded as one piece as part of the right fuse half, resulting in a huge 'panel line' that needed to be filled and rescribed.

Forgot to install the prop shaft when I put the cowling on ... :headslap:

I can never resist putting the propeller on for no particular reason...

Nice - it does look like a well detailed kit that.

Finished cleaning up the forward fuselage & cowling. Just about to put a fork in the big thing that goes between the wings. Started working on the cockpit. Gonna need a partial repaint as a tried an experimental technique for finishing the raised console detail. Painted the seat with vallejo , which did not stand up well to a bit of dry brushing.. Gona stick to my standard CP painting system. Cp color + black consoles + drybrush silver + pick out a few switches knows in yellow and or red and call it done.

It's going to be nice, with all the effort you are putting into it. You will have to work harder than I did on mine, the plastic was dark blue so there was no need to paint all of it.... :bag:

Looking good CB! Are those the kit seat belts molded on or did you add something in there?

Nothing added. All kit plastic -- yes , molded in... I may add some styrene channel for ejection rails on either side of the seat if I can find some ..

Got some time to work on my cockpit today. Pretty happy with results.
I found a kit in my stash molded in yellow styrene and used some stretched sprue from that to create a pull ring for the ejection seat.
This is the first time I tried using a white prismacolor pencil on the intrument details. I created a flat chisel edge on the pencil with my hobby knife and that seemed to work well for only affecting the raised detail.
Just need to glue stuff together, then clear coat it to seal the pencil and dry brushing...
