I came across a link to this build over at iModeler, and it was too good not to share. My, but this looks like a helluva Hellcat to me!

...and I just lost a wing for the FM-2. Yes, a whole wing side. It was there this morning.

This guy is pretty good!

Well, let’s think now… those fabulous cars you guys do are usually in 1/24 scale. In that scale you have plenty of room to upgrade and find various materials to use that will work for super detailing.

That's a good point Carlos! I've been eyeing that old Monogram Type 35 Bugatti lately, for something a bit different to build. There should be plenty doodads on that one for some detailing fun!

But yes, that guy is dang good at scale modeling!

Don't feel bad Lyle; I had a friend who lost both wing top parts fro a 1/48 scale Tamiya P-47 Thunderbolt. Tore his room and house apart to find them but never did until a year and a half later when they moved out! By that time he'd long ago given that kit away.

Yeah, the guy is fantastic. This is why I stick to my own favorite 1/72 scale.... :whiteflag:

Lyle, if that missing wing is off of the 1/48 Monogram F4F/FM kit, I have you covered...

Tha no you, but it is the Hobbyboss kit. I have another ordered, with the hope of finding it. So far, no loud crunches, etc.
