I just don't get it...
Why would you ever want to do that? They should just be honest and call them 'intake-seam-hiders'...
I'd rather see the intake with a seam, than not see the intake at all and wreck the look of the aircraft...
apologies in advance to anyone who has used them

Well I would use them but not on the ones they have. I’d like to have some Super Hornet covers.

Well, I can’t say why on some kits, but on others, oh yeah. I used some on a different subject, and can understand why on some kits or settings, such items would come in handy.

Yeah, like like a maintenance diorama. But we also need some fod screens for maintenance. I used to work with a fellow who got busted out of fighters and sent to trash haulers when he ran up an F-102 without the intake screens and fodded the engine.

Understood --- At least that type of cover is an insert -- not the kind that wraps around the outside of the airframe..

Yeah, those do look pretty gnarly and rough. I see your point.

Yup, I took the intake cover from my Academy F-86 for my Monogram F-86 for the same reason…Gary Brantley wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 6:55 am Well, sometimes one just has to bite the bullet and cover up that intake. Here's an example; I'd rather see this home-made cover than the bumps and steps that Monogram provided. It was pretty bad in there...
