I don't know if any of you listen to any of the modeling podcasts, but I started listening to several earlier this year. My two favorites are the "Plastic Posse Podcast" (more armor releated) and the "ModelGeeks Podcast" (aircraft guys).
So I was listening to the Plastic Posse Podcast this morning. They were doing a Nationals recap discussion. They talked about everything, the vendors (Squadron is back!!!), the seminars, the contest (don't touch my model!!), the people that were there, and what they all did and took home from the vendors.
So they took turns on who they were happy to meet or hang out with. They came to Doug and the first name he says is mine!!! (shock) I had to stop and go back and make sure I heard what I heard. Then I had to remember which one of the guys it was. Doug, Martin Drayton and myself hung out during the 3D printing seminar and a few times after that at the Posse's table. Doug also gave me a 3D printed dino head for free.
These are guys (all the podcasts guys) that I look up to in the modeling world and have really helped with my motivation after my dad passed. They were super nice and very helpful answering any questions you asked.

Re: Modeling Podcasts
Yeah! And these guys see TONS of people at Nationals because let's be honest, they're kinda like celebrities in the model world now. So one of them to mention me just blows me away.

Re: Modeling Podcasts
That is cool
Re: Modeling Podcasts
Sounds like you did not mention to them that you have no Monogram kits in your stash?
All joking aside, that's pretty cool !
