Hemi Under Glass

Not quite the L. A. Dart, but...

To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I remember seeing that segment on Jay Leno's Garage. Definitely an earlier version of the Barracuda. The kit made the later version of it.

I never had the Hemi Under Glass model kit.

Back in the day, that car inspired me to build a 1/25 Barracuda funny car, with Pik Up Stik's for the chassis tubes, tilting body, cardstock "aluminum" cockpit and a Chrysler gas turbine engine. Now, that was some engine swap! Man, I wish I had been insightful enough to take even crude Instamatic pics of my old model cars. I went on a search for their remains last week and found very little remaining. I recalled a big-assed cardboard box with mangled chassis, engines and car bodies...maybe they got thrown out in some manic house-cleaning jag. I even had some AMT aftermarket in a 1/25 Allison V-12 engine, like this one here:

A few bits and pieces of that still show up from time to time; I found the exhausts a few years ago.
