The clear plastic parts are not "stupid". Indeed Zoukei-mura had a poll on the President´s blog asking the modellers what they would prefer: clear or standard grey plastic. You simply cannot make everybody happy. In the end it´s just a hobby.

Best thing on clear parts is you simply can paint them over if you don´t like them.
