2024 IPMS Indianapolis show

Post by LyleW »

Went to that yesterday. A bit over 2-2.5 hour drive straight up I-65. Met Floki (Clint Gibbs) and a few other friends from MSC as well. Some talented modelers had entries! So far, I think my favorite is this: yes, those are 1/72

Here is a link to the gallery on Postimg. I think you should be able to see it.

It’s great to hear you met Clint. I agree… who doesn’t love that BUFF. Did you buy anything from the vendors?

just a couple of things. in the Acquisitions thread. Honestly, what I was looking at seems a bit pricey. But, I'm old. The kit was about the same as on Ebay.

Just looked at your photo collection. Lots of great builds unlike I seen at Syrcon. Saw a few builds I really liked - especially the 109 in the rail area bed and the famous iconic Avenger/Dauntless aircraft carrier crash landing. Lots of great stuff, Lyle. Definitely a show I would attend.

Oh yeah… I’m already broke looking at the vendor tables. ROFLMAO!

Very cool pics! I see at least one that was at Nationals last year. Think it's time to retire that one.

Thanks for the pics Lyle. Looks like a great show. That 109 in the rail car is one of my planned projects. I have the kits.
Thanks,
John

Looking at the BMF B-52 & KC-135, it reminds me of the opening from Dr Strangelove…. :giggles:

Loving the B-52 and KC-135 combo - awesome stuff.

It reminds me of this display I saw in a GB years ago - all Matchbox 1/72.
