The kit...



This is actually of Accurate Miniatures molds. Kit includes PE and masks. 7 schemes to choose from. I will doing the red nose version as shown on box cover.

Oh this should be nice! The AM Yak-1 is a very nice kit OOB. With Eduard goodies, it will really be beyond nice!

It it a nice kit. The PE is a bear to work.with. I've gone pretty far on this one. Will post progress pics later.

Very cool!

Dealing with the PE triangle part that goes on the main struts and losing one of them, I decided.. Screw It! I'm building this one wheels up and hang it on my ceiling by my bench.

I hate working with tiny PE parts

I hate PE too. Could you replace the missing part with plastic sheet?

I find find the instrument panel (clear) and side consoles for cockpit. I was too far in the cockpit build so I didn’t bother using them.

Undersides painted, topside painted Tsmiya Olive Green, red nose using Model Master Russian Marker Red - not really a true red. Hard to tell by photos even though it looks like flat red. Definitely a different shade of red.



Next, a second color for the camo. Going to use Mission Models Worn Tire Black.

Coming along nicely Tom. Pretty cool redish color.
