While the Lightning is on standby, I decided to jump on this next one...

Considering this is suppose to contain 2 full kits.

Well, the old Chinese proverb bit me in the ass... Fool me once, shame on me, Fool me twice shame on you.

How so? I'm missing TWO clear sprues that contains canopy parts and instrument panel.

I will admit, it's my fault for not inspecting the contents COMPLETELY before purchasing it at Syrcon. That's the risk I take.

Knowing I'm missing two clear parts sprues, I need to look and see what else I may be missing.

I'm hoping Fujimi can send me replacement parts IF they do offer that. Has anyone had replacement parts through Fujimi?

That sucks. I've never had a Fujimi kit.

I’ve never had to get replacement parts from Fujimi. If that source doesn’t work, check out on eBay as nowadays there are a few sellers that deal in kit parts sprues.

I did a complete inventory of sprue trees / parts.

Complete Sprue Trees accounted for:

Tree A
Tree B
Tree C - one complete Tree Sprue. Missing parts C10, C11 - Belly tank halves, C22 - sidewinders pair

Tree D

Missing both Sprue Tree G - these are important sprue trees - canopy parts and minor clear parts :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I know Eduard is releasing a dual kit of the Mig21 bis - one of the marking option will include the Black Lynx sometimes next year.
I may wait til Eduard releases that kit and order the missing parts thru them.

On a side note while looking in scalemates, I came across this one. Oh yeah… I want this one!

Just for the record, Tom, I believe that old proverb says "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." In other words, after being fooled once already by someone, one should not fall for it a second time.

I went to the Fujimi site and it’s all in Japanese. No translation to English option. eBay had been my second choice if I can’t get through Fujimi site. Hobby Japan is another possibility to try but not sure if they would be of any help.

Off to search on eBay…..

No luck on eBay. Looks like I’ll wait til Eduard release their dual Mig 21 kit.

I'm going to soldier on and make do with what I have until I find replacement parts. Progress pics to follow...

Maybe George W. can help explain :giggles:
