Tamiya 1/35 Ford GPA

Hi All,

Well here it is, my 3rd attempt at a 1/35th armour build - Tamiya's cracking little Ford GPA kit. I have to say I massively enjoyed this build. It's a brilliant little subject and a lovely little kit to build.

The Amphibian is totally OOB, painted with Humbrol rattle cans and Mr-Hobby super clear, weathered with various powders and Florey Washes. The driver was from the kit but I repositioned his arm. The stowage and the drivers kit was from various Tamiya sprues I have from this kit and the Sherman I built earlier in the year, and some resin bits. The only other thing I did was add a foil sling to the Thompson, and straps to his rucksack.

The driver was painted with an ICM US Army paint set. Wonderful paints - I really enjoyed using them.

As I said, this is only my third 1/35 finish, so any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks Carlos! I was pleased with the driver in the end, not perfect but not too bad either. The ICM paints were really nice!

Thanks Chris! (it is Chris right?), it took me ages to figure out where to put his gun - it was originally going on the floor but it didn't look right. I do think it works where it is now though.
