The Duke Finishes Three More in December

Granted they are all shelf queens that were waiting on missing parts and rigging, but they are finally done. Here they are, starting with the German Eindecker.
This is the 1/72 scale Airfix German Eindecker E.II. It was waiting for a missing wheel and propeller. The remaining wheel was removed and both were replaced by wheels from an Albatross kit that was missing too many parts to build. The missing propeller was replaced with a spare from an ACE Aerosan kit. Then it was rigged:
Now this Eindecker was a part of an Airfix Dogfight Doubles kit giving you two kits of adversaries in one box. So, the adversary this Eindecker was dealing with is this 1/72 scale Airfix British Be-2 biplane. It sure went together better than the Eindecker did:
This last one is an Eduard bagged kit of a 1/72 scale German Albatross that I got with the Red Baron triplane. This one was finally rigged with the two above and rolled out to the dispersal area with the two above:
Just for fun, here's all the WWI planes I built in 2024:
These three had been sitting on my bench for too long so I took the time to get them done. I want to clear as many shelf queens off the bench for the new year. So far, I might get another one or two models done before the new year. Until then, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.
