REvell 1/144 KC-10 Extender

The kit:

Trials and tribulations:

The mounting plate for the nose gear came loose. This plastic is wierd. So a bit of surgery was in order. I also had forgotten to add any nose weight, so the wads of "stuff" you see are lengths of lead tape, wadded up and blued in. Then closing it, filling/sanding and paint.

Waiting for decals that should be here today. We'll see.

Looks really good Lyle! That KC-10 / DC-10 is really a cool looking bird!
What decals are you waiting for?
And what about the Tornado ? Will you finish that as well?

That's awesome!! It's a shame that they're all retired now.

Thanks, Mike. Waiting for the Caracal decals. May be here today. Nah, won’t be using the Torbado. Yours if you want it.

Wow Lyle! I couldn't tell for the life of me where you cut that open! Your skills have been improving exponentially! Brilliant job! I want to do one of these in 1/72 scale someday!
