Neat subject. I'm building a 1/144 C-118 right now and it looks absolutely TINY compared to this. It's like the size of a 1/48 fighter. My mind is tripping right now. Looking forward to seeing more on this.

Wow, you put a lot of work into your KC-10 Lyle (sorta reminds me of my Monogram F-14A). Your hard work appears to be paying off. Decal time is always exciting. Look forward to seeing this one cross the finish line.

Hey all. Thank you for the check-ins and kind words. Been a hard year to date. Modeling mojo is waning…but, as soon as I can find the decals on my disaster if a bench, I should be able to wrap it up. TJ hen the B-47. Then the half track. Than the Payhauler. Ol’ Mr. Gout and his cousin Arthur Ritis are making things difficult right now.

Sorry to hear that Lyle, but stick with it - hope the hands and gout calm down quickly.

I hope the troubles don't last much longer, Lyle. We are all looking forward to see more of the work you have going.

Thanks, all. It won’t likely get completely better. The gout has been in my feet and ankles. Unusual in that it was on both sides and is lasting longer than it usually does, even with/the gout medicine. The hands? Eat up with arthritis, but manageable for the most part, just achy and stiff. But, grateful I have the blessings I do have.

Got a few more decals on this disaster. I am pleased the “surgery” came out as well as it did, but overall, this has to my poorest effort in a long, long time. Not happy with. It at all.

Never say never, Lyle. Maybe try those chair exercises I keep getting blasted with online. Gotta knock off my “cortisol fat!” Sending you best regards!

I've had a couple occasions of Gout. First time I thought I broke my toe - $hit hurts! I found that certain foods trigger - for me any gravy, processed meats and mushrooms of all things... take a look at what you are eating and see if there's a correlation. Around the holidays I just take the bullet... I'm having gravy on my turkey and mashed potatoes. Just stock up on the Aleve :giggles:
Thanks,
John

John, you are right. Hurts like you broke it! I am aware of the. Foods that can trigger it. Additionally, salmon, seafood, asparagus, land many others. Oh, red meat, too. We eat a lot of chicken and pork, but sometimes you have to live on the edge! It is a real PITA.

I cannot take NSAIDS, so it is 650mg Tylenol, sometimes tart cherry juice(works!) and a med called Colchcine.

Can't say about the Gout but I've started to get arthritis in my arms and neck. When my neck hurts, it'll give me headaches that I can't get rid of with any kind of medications.
