Oooohhh I love the 111. Its a pretty plane.

Thats an interesting subject and i cant wait to see more.

I understand the need for canopy masks lol
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I was always curious as to how that device worked and how effective it was. :hmm: He-111s are such a neat looking bomber.

Had to look in scalemates and do a search on “balloon cable cutter” and found the Ju-88 kit. Similar set up to the He111 balloon cable cutter.

Now I want to get the Ju-88 version. :lashed: :giggles:

A great observation regarding the device effectiveness and whether they were successful for the job it’s intended for. I had wondered that myself since I purchased the He111 version.

I do know that the weight of the system had a very detrimental affect on the performance of the aircraft. A sitting duck if caught by fighters.

Greenhouse canopy installed and masked. One thing I wished I had done was apply the masks FIRST before assembling to the fuselage. It would made it easier to mask each canopy parts. Oh well... live and learn.

I do also prefer to apply the masks on the canopy before assembling it to the fuselage.

But as I use Tamiyas extra thin to glue it into place, there might be a risk that some of the cement also ends under the mask, has happened once or twice when not careful.

But looks good !
