Not sure which one I want to do next.

The Panther I'm planning on doing the scheme from the tank battle of Cologne. I will need to do more research on it for decals.

The T-34/76 will be of "Fighting Girlfriend" markings since the kit came with the decals for it. This will be in winter scheme.

Or.... I may purchase a different tank kit from my watch list at scalehobbyist. :hmm:

Tom, you may gain some inspiration here as a member is doing that same scheme, and then some!

The Cologne battle is covered in the book “Spearhead by Adam Makos. The book follows this crew through the war. A “you should read it” read…if you haven’t. There is video of the tank battle.

Tom, yes. Order a tank from your list AND do a dual build of what you have.

I’ve already read that book. A fast read that throws you right into the action from the get-go. I’ve read 3 of Adam Makos books …

A Higher Call, Spearhead, and Devotion.

Voices of the Pacific is his newest book I received as a Christmas gift last year that I have not read yet.

That link you provided is extremely helpful for me. Thank you.

Looking at the color photos of the burned out Panther, this confirms me it is the same 2 color scheme - Dunkelgelb Dark Yellow / Olivgrun Olive Green, not the 3 color scheme of dark yellow/olive green/red brown.

Now I need to find PE Zimmert for this bad boy. I know Eduard has them. May have to order them ASAP if they’re still available. Might as well order the Pershing and maybe a “Jumbo” Sherman. :lashed:

Don’t use Photo Etch Zimmerit, that stuff is terrible and does not represent the true contours of the stuff. Look for some Cavalier brand stuff or something similar.

Understood. Can you point me in the right direction to find them?

Will these work?

I’m not sure if they’re Eduard PE set or some other product. No further info on it.

:hmm: I wonder if Tamiya do a sticky back Zimmeritt like they do for the Tiger?

Either choice will be good to see Tom.

That’s what I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a sticky application or PE kit. It doesn’t give further info on the link.

I’m almost leaning towards the Panther more than the T-34/76.
