HobbyBoss 1/72 F6F-3 Hellcat Easy Assembly kit

One of the kits my sister got me. Went for simplicity scheme belonging to VF-4, 1942 USS Ranger.
The kit was easy and straightforward. No fuselage halves or wing halves. Low parts count.

2 sprue trees, wings and fuselage
Clear insert in box. I marked where the parts were in.
FYI... the other scheme option was 2 tone blue from USS Intrepid

Do these come pre painted? Or is it a standard simple model kit like a better detailed version of an old Hawk kit?

Bare plastic ready for paint. Cockpit wasnt detailed. Simple plain cockpit with joystick and the seat to snap in place. Fuselage/wings was nicely detailed.
