1953 Ford F-100

This a pickup I had briefly in High School. I had to buy a second kit to get a straight 6 engine, and then I had to severely modify it because the manifolds were on the opposite side as it was from a later model. The color is Cape Blue, a 60's GM truck color that we painted our equipment. It got a new paint job when the door of a building under construction fell on the hood, it was originally Sea Foam Green like the interior of the engine compartment still is. I made the box from the newer kit into a trailer, used to see those in the old days. The instrument panel detail is reduced from a photo and glued on, the Ford legends on the tail gates are an ALPS printed decal.

Neat! Wonder if the Thunderbirds could use this F-100?

That's a really cool build John, and what a great looking truck.

Loving the flatbed trailer!

Really wish I could get my hands on this build of John's. Would love the opportunity to finish it up in honor of him.

Hi Joe,

If you look on the OP on this thread - John's Daughter left us her e-mail address. You could always try dropping her a line to ask?
