Another little kit I've been working on in the background just to get back into the swing of completing stuff is this, Airfix's excellent little Jet Provost - this is a cracking little kit that I really recommend if you get a chance to build one (just as well really as I have three others in the stash).

I've always liked the JP, it was the first aircraft I ever worked on in collage.



Cockpit painted up OOB...







This is the current state of play - just some filling around the intakes to do before paint. The only poor fitting part of this kit so far has been (surprise surprise) the clear parts. For some reason the canopy is in three pieces and the middle doesn't fit well - so it'll need a dab of filler. I know it's so some people can display the cockpit open, but would have been better to leave the three parts for an open canopy, and then give us a complete in piece closed canopy.

Well that built up quickly.

I have build the old Matchbox Strikemaster, a very basic kit. This kit looks far better.

Thanks Mike - it's a very simple kit, only two sprues really.

WOW! A long time since I built the MB Strikemaster but yer, this is a lot better. Thanks Borg and good to see you on the boards.

Thanks Lyle! Definitely the British T-37.

I have a dear friend from my days at GE Appliances and JCPS (yep, we both worked at those joints and worked together as well...) who was an USAF pilot and, of course, flew the T-37, F-5 and on up. Ended up flying the C-141 when he left the service.
