...And, how is your day going, you ask? Well, I just spent 30-45 minutes looking for parts shown on the instructions that do not exist on the sprues. Yep. That is a lot of what I did this morning. There is a part, A7, that looks somewhat like what is shown, but it isn't. There is no A4 or A5 on the sprue. So I opened up the front using Tamiya Extra Thin (works really well to loosen joints and let you pop them loose.) added A7 and closed up the nose . . . again.

But, a little progress. Likely taking the OD scheme just because.

Lyle, it looks like your kit is a F and not an E. That radiator is for the Merlin powered F version, and your cowling does not appear to have the upper air scoop seen on the Allison engine types.

There are parts for a couple of versions. The radiator piece was the only radiator included. I appreciate the information, really do.

If you got this secondhand, it looks like someone swapped out the E fuselage sprue for the F. What decals do you have? The F flew mostly in the South Pacific and Mediterranean theaters.

It was a bag-only kit. Two of them. Bags were sealed. One looked like it could have been opened, but the other one didn’t. Both sets had identical sprues, all parts were still attached and identical. So, who knows?

This is awesome progress so far. Personally, I'm still trying to find a Warhawk in my stash....

Great to see you making a start Lyle - cockpit looks good. I'm looking forward to seeing how this ends up.
