All done now! DML’s (now Dragon) 1995 issue M4A3E8 kit. The kit includes extra armor plates for the turret front and glacis plate that were added in 3rd Army workshops in 1945 to increase the armor protection on their Shermans. Patton did NOT like the sandbag armor that was used by some units and forbade it in his Army. I did add some casting texture to the turret and transmission housing cover, as well as some cargo/grab rails onto the turret sides. Markings are what came in the kit for a 6th Armored Division tank photographed in Spring 1945. Stowage is mostly Value Gear along with some Tamiya bits. Crew figures are Dragon, Tamiya, and a hodgepodge loader of various parts cobbled together.

That is most excellent, Carlos! :shoutout: Fine work here for sure, and the figures do look great and are posed so realistically. My only question concerns the stowage on the glacis; how is that held onto the tank? Is there a bracket underneath that it attaches to? I'm thinking that that stuff might be prone to bouncing off? :hmm: Otherwise, my only complaint its that it isn't in my display cabinet!

Thanks guys!

Gary, I can’t answer for sure how that stuff stayed on place. There is no obvious strap down of the glacis stowage in the reference photo. My only guess is that the step in the two add on armor plates are enough to keep them there. Those cases are pretty heavy in real life.
