I had started one of these a while back and was close to finishing it when I spilled some debonder in the pit and ruined it so I got another one just recently to finish the build but the damage was more than I could tackle right now so I will just build the new kit. I am doing this as one of the Wake Island Avengers in memorium to my late uncle who was Killed there Dec 8 1941.
He was air crew but what squadron I have no idea.

This is the Trumpeter 1/32 AV-8B Night attack variant of the Harrier II. I started with the pit and dry brushed the interior and used the Wolf Pack resin seat.

sorry for the bad pic

I have no real space to have a good photo set up

I then went to the engine. It should have taken me a day or two to get it done but things like cooking supper for the family and laundry took its toll and I finished this today.

and the mostly finished engine.
I copied the colors from a set of shots on the web where there is a Pegasus for sale.

A few more hoses and some black paint here and there should take care of the rest of the details.

For the engine I used Vallejo aluminum and detailed with the Tamiya weathering master

the wing lifts off. I have tested the ability for it to stand with out the wings for support and it does but not well.

One of my 3 favorite jets! It ranks 3rd behind the A-10 and F-4 Phantom. There's just something about deafening high pitched whines and low frequencies you can feel, but can't hear, that appeals to me.
