I think they still carry the classic 1/35 Tamiya M41 Walker Bulldog kit… and that’s about it for Tamiya. They also have stopped carrying Vallejo paints…

Yeah, the HL in Temple, 30 miles away, is just about useless for kits and paint. They have a fair selection of tools but that's about it. And yes Carlos, they always have that M41 in stock!

I did notice they stopped carrying Vallejo paints a few mo ths back. Mostly AMT auto kits, a few Revell and if you're lucky MPC car kits. Same old same old stock. 40% off on all model kits every week now. Lot of Testors rattle can and square bottle colors. 5 or 6 colors of Gundam paint colors. I like their Gundam white color. Want to get their Dark Grey.

I've gotten quite a few Gundam kits from there. The problem is that HL has gotten rid of the name brand stuff and now carries their own stuff.

Yup. They appear to be copying some Tamiya products such as the tiny cotton swabs, weathering mediums compacts, etc. For some things I can take a gamble on some of that knock off stuff, but some of their other products look to be pretty weak. I’ve bought some of their no name paint brushes in the past and those tend to die quickly.

I did see a small wood hobby tool organizer for $5.99. I may get it soon.

Went back to HL and bought the hobby tool organizer. Took me about 1/2, 45 minutes to assemble. It is 10 1/2 inches wide, 10 inches deep on sides, 4 1/4 inches at highest end (back) and 2 inches high up front. It appears to made of particleboard/thick cardboard material. Similar you find as spacer boards in boxes of furniture you have to assemble.
I must warn you, it is a biatch to put together. Parts are not labeled but I strutting guide tells what part is what by shape.
Two parts did not fit as instructed. I test fitted both parts letter G and letter I because they are slightly the same. The middle shelf notches and bottom shelf notches will not line up with either G and letter I parts.
Middle shelf notches were clipped off to fit properly. This is the bottom view underneath. It's suppose to sit in the notch openings. Nope...
Bottom shelf will not fit in notch hole. Notches clipped off as well.
Poor manufacturing of parts but it is a nice organizer. It's a wonder I didn't break any of the parts.
Holes can fit brushes, eye droppers, pencils, hobby knife

I appreciated when they used to carry Tamiya Extra thin too,now I make it a habit to include a bottle whenever I have to order anything else.
