impressive, for sure. Nice work.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thank you Lyle... some seemed impressive at the time of the build, but looking back at them now as I go, I can see how much that I had to learn, have learned, and improved from then until now. And now I see why the decals should be undercoated and overcoated. The oldest ones have lifted and are flaking away as I dust off the kits. Not to mention the toll taken by cats, kids, the elements, etc...LyleW wrote:impressive, for sure. Nice work.

Another batch of winners.

Stunned, oh man! What a hugecollection!
And so many excellent works, therefore difficult to select a favorite one, or should I say, a favorite dozen?
Where do you store all of this builds (sorry if someone already asked) ?

Lyle and Kari, many thanks for your kind words! Cleaning this last batch off has really re awakened my fondness for Cold War stuff, particularly (for me) the stuff from "the other side". But guys, I gotta say again, I can really see my own skill level then and compare it to now... as the Stones would say, "time is on my side". At least for now... LOL! But maybe not on the side of my older builds. I think that I now know how to display some future builds- out with the old and in with the new. Replace, replace, replace....
Kari I have my armor builds displayed on a bunch of shelves here. Bookcases actually, and grouped by type.
Keep watch fellas, there is more to come. I just wish now that digital photography had been around when all these kits were newly completed. They always look better when new and they have not yet had parts broken off, decals dry off and flake away, dust build up in the crannies and crevices... This has been most enlightening about long term display issues.

Thanks Mark. It has been fun and eye opening for me to do this photography of my old kits. A LOT of warts I can't see in person show up starkly under flash photography! Lol!
