Well then. Ever time I've put tape anywhere near a decal disaster has struck. Great work on a clever solution.

It does usually spell bad news. I wouldn't dare do it with regular masking tape! I gloss with Minwax laquer, then use Future (instead of micro-set) just under the decal...seal it in with another coat of Minwax. Tamiya tape comes off well, after be de-tacked a little.
