The kit parts are quite good so I will just use those.

Today I finally glued some parts together. I just took me a while to figure out how to use this CMK kit. The plan: assemble what is necessary, then paint, then assemble some more. It may sound a bit weird but I will post pics as I progress.

Can you fly this plane and land it? Surely you can't be serious? I am serious, and don't call me Shirley

I finally found the time to do some work on the Komet. I painted the whole cockpit black using Mr Surfacer 1500 black. Everything worked fine.

Mr Surfacer Black works like a charm. I thinned it with regular laquer thinner and was suprised by how little was needed for good coverage.
I have bought mine at the Dutch Nationals so I can not really help you with the availbilty problem. But if nothing works, try Hobby Link Japan, they probably stock it.

I bought mine at Uschi v. d. Rosten webstore. I'm using it for the first time on my Me 262 and I can copy Borgs experience. Though 50% thinned it covers perfectly.

Neat little fighter you have there, Borg. Must be a fiddly kit.
